Resurrection

Blazing Sun
Beating down on a Dead Earth
Cracked and riddled
Lifeless

The sun upon my scorched skin
Burns
The air I breath ignites my lungs and
Burns
The ground below my bare feet
Burns

Each step
Closer to nowhere
Each step
Insignificant
Each step
Closer to death

Exceptance of death is a certainty
We cannot avoid it
The reality has dawned
Death will come at dusk

A good Life?
When I fall will I fade
Or will I linger
A Good Life

Enshrouded in the garments of my forefathers
I've picked my spot
For my eternal slumber
The Sun My executioner

My corpse shall be a seed
binding with the earth
will it flourish?
Resurrection will be the time of the next harvest!
